Play Sessions

At Community Playroom, every play session is designed to:

  • Develop a loving, supportive community

  • Offer ideas, activities and strategies that inspire learning

  • Ensure that both toddlers and caregivers have fun!

Each month, the play sessions have a developmental focus, e.g. fine motor development, early literacy, etc.  Ms. Laura will carefully select activities and playroom resources to support this focus.  She will also make time in each session to explain her choices, offer suggestions, and model strategies that caregivers can use while playing.

Through play, the children will also be practicing skills related to cognitive, language, social, and emotional development.  In this way, every play session - regardless of the named focus - is nurturing the whole child.
